Avoid a rush from the table by asking everyone to remain seated until their hands have been wiped. Stagger the wiping to allow an orderly exit.

Have your helper/s ready to seat the children in preparation for the next activity. |

Try and make sure that the after tea activities are not too energetic. The present opening routine (see Chapter 5) works well here. |
