Plan your games programme well in advance and make a reference list for the day. |

Sort out the music before the day and have all your tapes / CDs ready to play. |

Choose lively, jolly music that the children will recognise. |

Avoid games where not all of the children are involved all of the time. |

Avoid "catching-out" games as much as possible. If you do catch children out make sure they stay involved by making them "judges". |

Do not give in to children who say "I don't want to play this". Explain that, as they have been invited to the party, they have to play. |
